Burj Khalifa, Dubai – The Tallest Building in the World
The main reason why we booked Al Manzil Hotel for our overnight stay in Dubai was to be near the tallest building in the world – Burj Khalifa. My room had a Burj Khalifa view and it sounds perfect for my photo ops, unfortunately I wasn’t able to use tripod that I got just for this purpose. Darn! So all the photos I took was all hand held. I know, I know, there will be next time, this coming August I will make sure I will have the perfect shot of that building, to see the observation deck and to watch the magnificent fountain near the base of the building that can reach more than three stories high.
Here are some information that I can share with you:
Burj Khalifa which is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates finally opened on January 4, 2010; it took 5 years to build this tallest building in the world. The building stands at 2,716 feet high and costs around 1.5 billion US dollars to construct. It includes 9 fancy hotels and 1.044 apartments for people to live in. On the 124th floor is the observation deck where public can have a chance to experience to be inside the tallest building in the world. The visit to the observation deck lasts approximately 60 minutes.
There are two ways of purchasing tickets to the observation deck, online and at the ticket office near the entrance to At the Top on the lower lever of The Dubai Mall. Purchasing your tickets online is much cheaper than when you purchase it at the entrance office.

[…] Burj Khalifa tops the list of top 10 tallest building in the world and it’s followed by Taipei 101 of Taiwan. […]
Is the top photo fisheye? Just curious how you managed to fit the whole thing in the photo with room at the top of the frame (and no distortion!).
