The Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros, Philippines

I booked a Superior Room online for two days stay and what a surprise it was when I checked in found out that I was upgraded to a Deluxe Room.  Unfortunately, my friend who traveled with me did not get an upgrade.  The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros is a charming medium size hotel opposite of the country’s premier heritage site, Intramuros.  The room is clean and well laid out contemporary design and decorated in an assortment of themed colors.  Mine was in Mint Green.

Shivapuri Heights Cottage, Kathmandu, Nepal

Finally, the flat tire was replaced and ready to head to Shivapuri Heights Cottages which is located on a high ridge close to the edge of the National Park in Kathmandu.  After loading the luggage, the driver headed out, it took us about half an hour to reach the hotel cut off, which turned out to be a very steep single lane hill that looked like the beginning of a roller coaster. Thailand: Silq Hotel, Bangkok

April 27, 2010 – A month prior to our arrival in Bangkok, I searched the internet for a reasonable priced hotel to stay over in Bangkok for two nights in the Sukhumvit area and found this new and modern boutique hotel.  I have read positive reviews about Silq Hotel which encouraged me to book immediately; I wasn’t only impressed with the reviews but also with their reasonable room rates.  They also have free Wifi connections; the bed was huge and very comfy.  I suggest you book the Deluxe room, it has the same amenities of the Superior room but more space.  Their staffs are very friendly and easy to talk to.

Al Manzil Hotel, Dubai

After the delicious dinner at The Blue Elephant in Dubai, we proceeded to Al Manzil Hotel. I saw Tripadvisor’s reviews about Al Manzil hotel and its ranked # 1 of the 381 hotels in Dubai listed by the travel site.  The rooms are reasonably priced and very affordable if you are looking for a decent place to stay for an overnight in Dubai.  It is just five minute walk to The Dubai Mall & Burj Khalifa and situated in The Old Town district of Burj Khalifa with easy access from Sheikh Zayed Road via Doha Road.
