Reminiscing Kuwait – Part 1

It’s been three months since I left Kuwait for a job opportunity that can’t be ignored.  Who would ignore a chance of going to the US of A to have your medical examination and other processing before your deployment to your work site?  And the chance of seeing your love ones after 120 days of working continuously for an R&R (Rest & Relaxation)?  I guess nobody right?  Or, maybe few will….  The insane ones! 🙂

For an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), an R&R or vacation (on a simple term) every four months is rare.  Because the majority of the OFW’s in the Middle East are having their vacations every 2 years.  Hey, if you’d like to go frequent to Philippines it will cost you a lot!

Anyway, back to the topic!

Sometimes, I think of going back to Kuwait.  Why?  ‘Coz I missed the Kuwaitis?  Ngeeeekkk, wrong answer! Read More

My Reflection

I was in a shopping mall in Kuwait when I took this shot.  It’s a window display and if you notice I was in there hehehe.  🙂  Just havin’ fun……..

Night Shot again…..

Another night shot again! 🙂

Didn’t use Tripod with this one, let me take another shot with Tripod and let’s compare it.

An old house

oldhaus.jpg

I do not know if this is a house or a warehouse, but took a shot of it anyway.

This house is located in Ahmadi, Kuwait.

This picture was taken by a Nokia N73 Mobile Phone which has a 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera.

Masri pose

masri.jpg

Masri is an arabic word pertaining to an Egyptian.  This picture was taken an hour ago when I was having lunch in an Arabic Restaurant near the office.

While I was eating, he keeps bugging me with the print out and I told him that he has to pay 1 Kuwait Dinar.  Jarannnnnnn……. then he shut up.  hehehe

Hummus

hummus.jpg

Hummus is a dip made of chickpea and sesame seed paste with flavorings such as olive oil, garlic, paprica and lemon juice.   This dish is very popular through out Middle East and it only cost you 400 Kuwaiti fils in Kuwait.  I know ‘coz this was my lunch yesterday with an Irani Khubz (bread in Arabic).

This picture was taken by a Nokia N73 Mobile Phone which has a 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera.

Yummy!!!

portersteak.jpg

This is my dinner last night in Applebees.  I know it’s against my doctor’s advice not to eat red meat.  But who can resist Porter Steak.  Yummy!

This picture was taken by a Nokia N73 Mobile Phone which has a 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera.  My new toy…. hehehe

Souk Al-Juma’a

souk-juma-6.jpg

Souk Al-Juma’a in English is Friday Market.

Items on the picture are memorabilia from the Middle East.

I was looking for a lamp that might have a Genie inside and grant me three wishes.

My first wish is for my blog visitors to visit more often and post some comments, hehehe….

Al-Qout Mall night shot

January 4, 2007:  I was in fish market in Fahaheel (Kuwait) this morning and had a chance to shoot this national fish of Kuwait called Zubaidi (Pomfret in English).
