Flying out of Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali
Flying out via Qatar Airways at Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The airport is one year old and not that busy (yet). The drive from Jumeirah Lakes Tower to the airport was smooth and no traffic at all. There’s a lot of space at the parking area in front of the airport; A rare in UAE.
If you frequently fly via Qatar Airways and want to avoid crowded and congested airport in the United Arab Emirates try this airport. Clean and quiet.
There are only 6 fast food restaurants for now, and NO McDonalds and Burger King though. Eventually the numbers will increase and so does the flights coming in and out when the airport is fully constructed in 2023 (correct me if I’m wrong) and will be the biggest airport in the world.
The checking-in was a breeze and very receptive Qatar Airways attendant. The immigration process was quiet relaxed as there was not much of passengers. Even the staff and security were seen yawning due to boredom I guess.
I don’t mind flying out of here again.
