As an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), it was always a hassle to apply for a The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance. It’s wasting one whole day of your Vacation leave. But with the new implementation of The NBI, you can do the first three steps online (Fill-up Form, Data Check and Payment). Then just do the remaining steps on your appearance date.
Since its conception, we already have 997 members and 3 members shy to reach our 1,000 members mark. If you are an OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) and haven’t join our Social Network yet, please join us and meet a lot of OFW’s online.
What is OFWFriends.com is what I have been asked many times by some of the OFW’s I have met on a day to day basis and on my travels? OFWFriends.com is a Social Network; it’s like the famous Facebook, Friendster, etc. It is where you could meet OFW’s all over the world by being connected as friends online.
What are the features of this social network? Well, let me show some screen captures of the Social Network features and to explain clearly.

Two days ago I published an article about an open editorial of an OFW that concerns his freedom to choose which country he’d like to pursue his dreams for his family back home.
AntiTrapo.com received some comments that are worthwhile reading and be published here in my blog.
After reading these comments and as an OFW you may be obliged to comments as well. And you are welcome to do this here.
Here are some of the comments from some OFW’s.
Here is an open editorial from a concerned Overseas Filipino Worker in regards with the freedom to choose when the opportunity knocks, whether it’s Iraq, Afghanistan or any country that the Philippine government imposed a travel ban.
I totally agree with the writer, Philippine government should let their citizens choose where they want to work. If the citizen think that going to these places will provide a better living to their family, then be it!!!

I just checked few minutes ago how many members we have in OFW Friends Online website and I am glad that since May 27, 2009, 67 new members registered. Isn’t that amazing, who knows OFWFriends.com might be the next Friendster, Facebook or Myspace. At least just a fraction of it will be a milestone for the Overseas Filipino Workers Online Website. With all the members help, we can spread the news about this site.
The only thing that really disturbed me was the number of members. We have 666 members. Isn’t that a Devil’s number?
Well, I don’t believe that there’s such thing as a devils number.
But this is what I believed in, if you are an OFW, do join our Social Network and invite your OFW Friends. J
In OFWFriends.com, we have 599 members so far and we are looking for the 600th member. If you are thinking that there will be price for the 600th member, you are right! The 600th member will be provided a round trip ticket. Just kidding!

I sent an email to this website and a certain Mr. Bryan Zarzuela replied to me promtply and amazingly he answered all my questions. Don’t you feel good when you inquired to a blog or website and you received a prompt reply?
The reason why I sent an email to this website is that my Philippine passport (anyway, I only have Philippine Passport hahaha) is running out of pages. I think I only have two pages left though the expiration is on 2009.
Okay let me summarize the information that I got from Mr. Zarzuela so the OFW’s out there can benefit on this. Read More
Here’s a latest update regarding the Travel ban to Afghanistan.
“For OFWs going to Afghanistan, Brion said “ang ating mga OFWs na employee ng coalition forces at ng mga recognized international organizations like United Nations, mga ahensya nito, Red Cross, iyon pong mga katulad na organisasyon ay papayagan po natin ang ating mga manggagawa na ma-deploy diyan.”

It’s been three months since I left Kuwait for a job opportunity that can’t be ignored. Who would ignore a chance of going to the US of A to have your medical examination and other processing before your deployment to your work site? And the chance of seeing your love ones after 120 days of working continuously for an R&R (Rest & Relaxation)? I guess nobody right? Or, maybe few will…. The insane ones! 🙂
For an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), an R&R or vacation (on a simple term) every four months is rare. Because the majority of the OFW’s in the Middle East are having their vacations every 2 years. Hey, if you’d like to go frequent to Philippines it will cost you a lot!
Anyway, back to the topic!
Sometimes, I think of going back to Kuwait. Why? ‘Coz I missed the Kuwaitis? Ngeeeekkk, wrong answer! Read More
